Victor Harbor Primary School

A new school building designed to generate collaboration and create an inspiring and supportive environment for students and teachers.

Sliding glass doors encourage borderless classrooms and intersecting hallways connect the outdoors from every perspective. The custom designed carpeting takes the form of the Aboriginal symbol for ‘Meeting Place’ and embodies the school’s values of inclusion and teamwork. Atrium-like ceiling spaces fill the building with natural light whilst allowing passive ventilation throughout the open learning environments and the very fabric of the design speaks to the connection to Aboriginal culture and traditional customs.
