Olivier joins the studio with over a decade of experience delivering national award-winning projects across the residential, hospitality and commercial sectors. Recognised for his considered approach and collaborative mindset, he brings a depth of technical expertise and design knowledge that enhances our growing team and broadens the studio’s leadership capability.
With proven experience across diverse scales and typologies, Olivier strengthens the team through his thoughtful, design-driven outcomes. His pragmatic yet people-focused approach reflects a balance of design rigour and empathy, ensuring spaces are not only well resolved but also meaningful to the people who use them. He is particularly passionate about architecture that combines clarity, functionality and feeling, and is motivated by projects that positively impact how people live, connect and work.

Equally committed to mentoring the next generation of architects and designers, Olivier has already proven to be a respected mentor and contributor within the studio. Known for his approachable and supportive leadership style, he fosters a collaborative environment built on openness, curiosity, and accountability. He is a strong believer that great leadership comes from setting a good example and creating space for others to grow.
Originally from Canada, Olivier relocated to Australia in his teens before completing his architectural studies at the University of South Australia. His career has taken him from Sydney to Adelaide, where he spent several formative years at a well-regarded local practice. There, he refined his design sensibility through a focus on detail, materiality, and craft. Joining S9 this year, Olivier now brings his expertise to projects of greater scale and complexity, contributing to the studio’s expanding portfolio of work particularly in the multi-residential and hospitality sectors.
With a holistic understanding of how projects come together, from concept and detailing through to delivery, Olivier brings both design strength and operational insight to the studio. His addition reinforces our commitment to values-led leadership and continual professional growth across the practice.
