Officially introducing one of our latest additions to the team here at S9, Laura Morris.
A friendly face that greets you upon arrival, Laura is our resident Receptionist and a key member of our administrative team.
Fascinated by the human psyche, Laura always knew that she wanted to have an impact and influence on the way people think and feel. After studying psychology she decided to delve into a more creative career and began studying Interior Design at Sydney Design School.
“I’ve always been interested in the psychology of space. When I walk into a room, I always feel a certain way. I’ve always been interested in interior design, and when I started studying everything flowed a lot more, I was much more engaged and passionate.”
Making the move from Sydney to Adelaide, Laura was eager to gain exposure and experience in the industry.
Particularly fascinated by The Calyx Project and Assembly Three, coincidingly with S9’s dedication to sustainability, Laura was instantly drawn to be part of the S9 team.
“I was drawn to S9’s broad portfolio of projects and the size of the studio. As someone who wants to understand more about the design industry, I want to co-exist within the design world, learning from the base up about the reality of the industry and the design process, supporting the team however I can.”
As part of the studio’s Sustainability Committee, Laura is excited to play her part in supporting S9 on our sustainability journey following on from our Carbon Neutral certification, making improvements and rolling out new initiatives.
A pivotal part of our administration team here at S9, welcome to the team Laura.
