A modern remake of the classic motel, reshaping it into a destination city fringe location that complements and strengthens the sites current offering
As part of a larger master plan for the precinct, the project involved the upgrade of 60 motel rooms and façade works to the existing building.
Rebranding into HotelMOTEL, the simple and cost-effective solution uses repetition and modular elements, drawing reference from the original motel features.





Taking inspiration from the South Australian landscape, the rooms feature a native palette of blues, oranges and walnut tones, with an emphasis on locally produced products


The external activation along the South Terrace frontage has also created visual impact from the street, connecting the three accommodation sites
