The proposed design for a new centralised, accessible, open and inviting food and beverage precinct within the heart of the shopping destination
Inspired by the characteristics of a tree canopy, the enhanced communal seating, dining, and circulation space encourages natural light and ventilation whilst ensuring shade and shelter.
The high-level semi open steel canopy works in partnership with a simple material palette to bring together multiple functions under the one roof, including the addition of a new Centre Management Lounge and entry to the precinct.
The simplicity of the canopy enhances opportunities to incorporate integrated signage and planting such as climbers, planter beds and hanging pots throughout.
The timber feature classing to the upgraded new existing retail spaces allows flexibility on function whilst ensuring the new EATS space, and proposed Centre Management Lounge and entry hold a strong spatial and visual identity within Harbour Town precinct.
